A connection between the University Collection and the final output of the Public Philosophy Project AIRE Attentive Inquiry Reclaiming Environment funded by the Irish Research Council New Foundations Award.

This Culture Night talk by Professor Felix Ó Murchadha explores the connections between the imagination and our relationship to the environment. Audiences will explore the themes of imagination and nature in Robert Gregory’s imagined rendering of Coole Park that is a part of the University’s art collection.

This event will end with attendees walking to the quadrangle gallery for a guided tour of the exhibition UnReal Ireland which explores Iris Murdoch’s relationship with the West through reproductions of archival materials and new contemporary art works.
